Dear Sally and family,
I have just heard the sad news. Bill was always a gracious and warm-hearted person, a great host, a passionate photographer who adored travelling with Sally. What a proud father and grandfather! Dear Sally & family, I am so sorry for your loss & know Bill will be deeply missed.  I worked with Bill at IPM many years back & had the happy occasion to reconnect last year at our Retiree group brunches.  It was wonderful to catch up & hear of how much he was enjoying your travels together, family & grandchildren, the peacefulness of time at your Hornby home and feeling so content in retirement.  Bill was so well thought of by all who worked with him; he was kind, caring & very genuine.  I know this loss will be very difficult for all of you, but I sincerely hope your beautiful & loving memories will bring you comfort thru these difficult days ahead.  My sincere condolences. Bill was a true gentleman. I did a lot of business with him when I was with Noranda and he with Island Paper. Once we had a price dispute over ten dollars for hard wood pulp, and I nicknamed him Ten Dollar Bill, which he got a big kick out of. One of the good guys to be sure. My condolences.

Dear Sally ( and Family ) It's been many years since we last met, when Bill and I worked at Island Paper Mills, and you visited us at our home, in your Austin Healey ! It is with great sadness that we reflect on Bills death. However, the thoughts also bring back wonderful memories of the many years we have enjoyed the friendship of Bill and Sally.
We are grateful for having had the opportunity to know him, and hope to continue to be close friends with the family that Bill helped create.
