Yvonne, Debbie, Michelle and Nicole:

Along with my Parents, I am sending my condolences to you and the rest of your family on the passing of Edel. You and the whole family are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I hope that the memories of your Auntie Edel brings you some comfort in the days, months and years ahead and that eventually you are able to laugh through your tears when recalling your fondest times spent with her. If it was a different time we would be there to pay our respects and give all of you hugs.

My childhood memories are of this beautiful, well dressed and stylish woman. The one that would sit in the hot tub part of the pool with your Mother even though neither of them swam, and as I got older I came to appreciate the warm and caring person she was.

It was when I was older and still living on Argonne that we would see each other going to or coming from work, we would talk on the Cummer bus and as we walked the rest of the way home. I realized just how much she was looking out for me, when she would invite me over for dinners at the house when my Parents would be away.

She will always have a cherished place in my heart along with your Parents, as do all of you.

Such beauty and poise. She was a kind and gentle soul; a gem of a person.

My condolences to her family, and especially her nieces and Godchildren who she cherished.

May the love of Jesus, her precious saviour, carry you through this difficult time.

Blessings. Denise

Aunt Edel was the aunt to everyone on our street. One of the most kind, loving, happy people I have ever known. She loved all of us and we loved her right back.
Thank you Aunt Edel for making such an impact on myself and on my entire family.
You are well loved!!

Given that she worked with my father for decades, I was fortunate to have known Edel for most of my life and was saddened to hear of her passing. I hope her family takes comfort in knowing that other people also recognized her as a loving and caring person. Rest in Peace, Edel...
