My dad used to take my brother and I as young boys by Mr Hosein’s house in Trinidad in the 80s. There was always pride and dignity Mr Hosein carried himself being well spoken and all due to his many years abroad. He lived on a corner which many passed by, mostly being quiet and empty as you’d never know if someone was home or if he was abroad. The house was actually situated next to a steel pan yard for Skiffle Bunch and although that rhythm would resonate sweetly I always wondered to myself if the noise would bother him. I never got that answer. He was one of my father’s friend whom I know had a positive impact on us. We never met his family but know that he represented your family well.

Respectfully,

Condolences on the passing of Errol to his family
I know Errol for the past 25 years and I will deeply miss him.
He was a dear friend .We spend long hours camping onLas Cuevas Beach : hiking to many remote parts of Trinidad to places like Paria, Madamas, Rincon Waterfall and several times to
Mt El Tucuche .He loved outdoor life and spend many hours camping and hunting .He was health conscious and spend many hours running around Guaracara Park of T&T .He had great interest in the politics of T&T .
He spend the last few years of his life doing a voracious amount of reading especially the "Economist " He read every page and underlined important ideas and data .He was aware of his failing memory and brain function and was helped by playing lots of card games . He was an exciting person and had great ideas .It was easy carrying on a conversation with him beacause he read and made great inputs in the conversation
He was honest ,upright and forthright in dealing with issues .
Gone but not forgotten
My dear friend rest in peace

My condolences to Kathy and Errol’s family on your loss. Errol was a kind and gracious friend when I first arrived in Toronto to attend university. I’ll remember Errol’s love of the outdoors and warm smile. I hope that your memories bring you comfort at this time.

Sincerely,

Karen

I remember the first time I met Errol.
I was 13 years old.
I saw him give money to a homeless
person on the streets of Montreal.
It was a time when Errol was a student
and did not have much money himself.
It left an imprint in my mind ever since.
I will miss you and all the conversations
we had along the road of this life.
