

Visitation for Curtis will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm with Pastor Michael Feltman officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
Born on November 29, 1943, Curtis was a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa County and lived and raised his family there. Curtis served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 until 1966. Most of his career, he worked as a transportation mechanic for the Tuscaloosa City Schools. He was a member of Coker Church of God.
Curtis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid lifelong fan of the University of Alabama football team, "Roll Tide," and Nascar Racing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert C. Ramsey, Sr., and Dorothy Coker Ramsey; brother, Richard L. Ramsey, and two granddaughters.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Eva Ann (Booth) Ramsey; sons, Curtis Dewayne (Ina) and Randy E. Ramsey (Terry); daughter, Malissa Ann Bailey (Tim); 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Jo Elaine Mathis and David E. Ramsey.
Serving as pallbearers are Patrick Simmons, Tim Bailey, Joe Davis, Bob Orne, C.W. Booth, and Tyler Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Boothe, Darryl Hogeland, Kurt Beckham, Llyod Junkin, Harvey Fretwell, and Dr. Dawn Bryant.
