Alice Faye Champion

NORTHPORT | Alice Faye Champion, age 64, of Northport, died Oct. 20, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday October 23,2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wally Rezendes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Cox, Sr. and Ruth Beasley Cox; brother-in-law, Glendon Nuckols; and mother-in-law, Fannie Lou Champion.

Survivors include her husband, James Champion; daughters, Diane Mitchell (Ben), Carol Miller (Dr. Paul), and Toby Pate (Steve); brother, Oscar Cox (Melba); sisters, Elois Miller (Robert), Dorothy Nuckols, Nancy Hayes (David), and Betty Vargo (Billy); 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her special dog, Jim Jim; father-in-law, J.C. Champion; brother-in-law, Richard Champion (Linda); and sister-in-law, Linda Leonard.

Pallbearers will be Sean Lee, Doc Champion, Dennis Stokes, Mike Tingle, Randell Cox, and Frank Cox.
