Amy Marie Montz

Amy was a 1995 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. She worked for several years as a medical receptionist, where her caring nature, warm smile, and kind spirit touched the lives of many patients and coworkers.

In her free time, Amy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved watching movies, vacationing at the beach, and spending time with those she loved most. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Amy is survived by her beloved son, Brayden Montz; her parents, Robert Wayne and Vicki Smelley; her sister, Leslie Robertson; her stepdaughter, Brittany Booth; and her nephews, Dustin Robertson and Austin Robertson. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Ray Montz.

Amy's memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

Visitation for Amy will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Dustin Robertson, Austin Robertson, Ryan Robertson, Carson Bishop, and Nick Walters.
