Drew was preceded in death by the grandmother he adored, Vera Dowdle.
He is survived by his mother Kristi Dowdle, stepmother Kim Colburn, brother Jacob Kuczenski, sister Anna Kuczenski, grandfather Nelson Dowdle, aunt Kim Rice, cousins Rebecca Waldrop and Caden Daniel (who wanted everyone to know about Drew that "He is awesome!"). He is also survived by his father Richard Kuczenski and grandmother Jacqueline Kuczenski.
Drew graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 2018. He then found a trade he loved and performed HVAC work for Jolly Heating and Air. Andrew enjoyed hunting and fishing but his true love was his truck. He joined the Block Boyz truck group and found his place.
Andrew was all about having fun in life and always up for mischief with his group of boys he considered his brothers. Andrew never met a stranger and always had a huge smile on his face. Drew would give you the shirt off his back and have your back in any circumstance. You always knew no one could mess with you if he was around. His size was misleading as he was truly a huge teddy bear on the inside. The world will be much less joyful without him in it. Truly a light has been extinguished.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Kuczenski, Wesley Crain, Jake Lee, Trace Boyd, Lonnie Brown, and Zach Wolf.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brayden Corley, Clayton Vaughn, Blake Meggs, Bennett Hinote, Taylor (Make a Wish) Watts, Matthew Frederick, Isaac King, Isaiah Norris, Austin Woods, Jolly Heating and Air, and of course Block Boyz.
Services will be at Sunset Funeral Home Saturday, September 18, 2021, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. From there we will ride Block Boys style to Memory Hill Gardens on Skyland Blvd for the burial.
Sunset Brown-Service Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is honored to serve the Kuczenski family during their time of bereavement. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.SunsetBrown-Funeral.com
