Arthur Leon Allen Jr.

KNOXVILLE – Leon Allen, age 69, of Knoxville, Ala. died July 2, 2016 in Ralph, Ala. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Lee presiding. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Allen; parents, Leon Allen, Sr. and Dorothy Allen and his sister, Betty Edge.

He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Koester (Jason), Stephanie Snider (Mark) and his dog Susie; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Koester, Kristopher Koester, Jack Snider, Grayson Snider, Jordan Emma, and special friend Davis Booth.

Arthur Leon Allen, Jr. enjoyed spending time with his family, going camping and he loved fishing. He loved spoiling his dog, Susie. He spent every Saturday in the fall watching the Crimson Tide play. He also loved Alabama softball. He loved joking around and making people smile. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Kristopher Koester, Jack Snider, Davis Booth, Don Smith, Ronnie Williamson, and Richard Krallman.

Honorary pallbearers are Golden Flake Employees, Dr. John Miller and Traci Higginbotham, and Hospice of West Alabama.
