Barbara Boyd

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Boyd, Jr.; sons, Darran Earl Boyd and David Herman Boyd; father, William Neal Palmer, Sr.; mother, Rosaline Landers Palmer; sisters, Jeanette Palmer Crawford Guglierro and Sarah Palmer Sutton, and brothers, William Neal Palmer, Jr. and Robert Palmer.

She is survived by her, grandson, David Heath Boyd; sister, Rosemary Palmer Cabaniss; brother-in-law, Dr. Hayse Boyd (Peggy); sister-in-law, Nancy Styes Palmer and a host of friends and other relatives.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Road, Northport, AL 35473, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Reverend Keith Pugh and Dr. Hayse Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Jeff Cabaniss, Rodney Cabaniss, Denson Boyd, Allan Perry, Palmer Cabaniss, and Johnny Rushing.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the FBC Good Samaritan Sunday School Class, Hayse Boyd’s Sunday School Class, friends from St. Mark Methodist Church, One Hope Church, Macedonia United Methodist Church, Virginia Norred, homeRN caregivers, and members of her Air Stream Club.

Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa, Hospice of West Alabama or to your favorite charity.
