

MADISON | Barbara Talley Gibson, age 63, of Madison, died May 16, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at Northport Church of God with Rev. Ken Sanders, Dr. R. A. Baker, and Bishop Greg Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Northport Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Talley and Jean Talley Faulkner.
Survivors include her husband, John S. Gibson III of Madison; sons, Stuart Gibson (fiancée’ Jeci) and Jason Gibson (Sara) both of Madison; sisters, Charlotte Skelton (Jerry) of Buhl and Tanya Talley of Northport; brother, Mike Talley (Tammy) of Northport; and grandchildren, Dalton, Charlie, Georgia, Kay, and Gwen, all of Madison.
She was a beautiful Christian lady with a servant’s heart. She loved her husband, sons, grandchildren and family dearly. She was well known for her hospitality, baking and cooking. Also her angelic voice has been enjoyed by many since a very young age when she sang with her family (Talley Family). She passed away peacefully with the love of her family surrounding her.
Pallbearers will be Hoss Skelton, Terrill Skelton, Frank Heinz, Robert Heinz, Joseph Rose, Scott Sanders and Dalton Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers are the congregation of Northport Church of God, special friend Melissa Wilson and all other special friends too numerous to list but you know who you are.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Northport Church of God for Jerry Skelton Honduras Missions Fund.
