Mrs. Grogan is survived by her husband Jimmie Wayne Grogan of Buhl, Alabama; her daughter Megan Grogan Junkin (Eric) of Buhl, Alabama; sons James Andrew Grogan (Rachel) of Ellisworth, Michigan, and Thomas Edward Grogan (Naut) of Bangkok, Thailand; grandchildren Andrew James Grogan, Brady Wayne Junkin, Adelyn Rae Grogan, and Ayleana: and her sisters Rachel Stewart Jones (Glenn) of Sylacauga, Alabama and Anita Stewart Ward (Harry) of Alexander City, Alabama.
Lynn Grogan was a precious soul. She spread God’s love by helping others. If God showed her a need, she would do everything in her power to fulfill it. She was a devoted wife to her husband Jimmie for 49 years. Jimmie was her best friend, their love for each other was something very special to get to witness. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Spoiling them was something she loved and did often.
So many things come to mind when thinking of her from her famous pound cakes, impeccable taste in clothing and décor and creating beautiful gifts for others. She was a wonderful lady that will forever be missed; from her sweet smile and quiet laugh to her always being able to give the best advice by reminding you of God’s word and to always be respectful and kind.
The family will have a Memorial Service at the house at a later date.
A private family graveside was officiated by Bro. Stephen Hooks . Pallbearers were John Earl Hayworth III, Jared Elmore, Jason Lightsey, Brad Ragsdale, Harrison Ward, Stewart Ward, Jared Junkin, and Brad Tubbs. Honorary pallbearers were Glenn Jones, Harry Ward, Matt Jones, Danny Junkin, Carlton Grogan, Jesse Grogan, the doctors and nurses in the Cardiac Unit at UAB.
The family requests that donations be made to Caring Days of Tuscaloosa and/or Hospice of West Alabama.
