Betty Rigney Kelly

Betty Rigney Kelly, age 75, of Buhl, died Nov. 12, 2010, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. today, Nov. 14, 2010, at Word of Life Church in Coker with Rev. Michael Billings and Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Pate Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Kelly and special friend Col. Butler Hine, and Nancy Ballard (Doug); her sons, Rick Kelly (April) and Marty Kelly (Vonnie); her brother, Rev. Ted Rigney (Nelda); two sisters, Dorcas Howard (Jimmy) and Ree Hulett (James); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Kelly, Nathan Kelly, Adam Kelly, Tyler Kelly, Spencer Kelly, and Will Kelly.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and son-in-law.

Honorary pallbearers are Pastors Michael and Debbie Billings and the Word of Life Church family, Buhl Church of God and the Buhl community, Dr. DeBell, Dr. Potts and the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Home Health, and Alabama Dermatology physicians and staff. Special thanks to Jean Harless, who was a devoted friend, caregiver, and great source of strength, and Charlotte Skelton, who provided tender loving care.
