Betty Doris Patton

Betty D. Patton, age 71, of Northport, died Sept. 30, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Leon White and Rev. Albert Lyles officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Patton; father, Arthur Hall; mother, Pearl Hall; sisters, Ruby Herd and Rushi Hall; and brothers, Lawrence Hall and Tommy Hall.

Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Patton (Lisa), Barry Patton (Phyllis), Tim Patton (Susan), and Stephen Patton (Katie); brothers, Clarence Hall (Sarah), Danny Hall, Mike Hall (Charlene), and Donald Hall; grandchildren, Stephanie Dean, David C. Patton, Jeff Patton (Leslie), Jessica Patton Meggs (West), Crystal Wright (Jeremy), Christine Krchak, Brittney Patton, Brandon Patton, Kaitlyn Patton, Anna-Grace Patton, and Connor Patton; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Ward, Anne-Lece Dean, Blaine Patton, Jacob Patton, Blakeley Young, Jared Patton, Westorn Meggs, Jr., Joleigh Meggs, Samuel Patton, and Wyatt Patton.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Patton, Brandon Patton, Christopher Ward, Connor Patton, West Meggs, Jeremy Wright, Danny Hall, Jr., and Michael Hall.

Honorary pallbearers are David C. Patton, Westorn Meggs, Jr., Samuel Patton, Wyatt Patton, Blaine Patton, Jacob Patton, and Jared Patton.

In lieu of flowers, the family re-quests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the late Dr. Cindy Dedmon and the staff of Tuscaloosa Family Practice, Dr. Beverly Joseph, Dr. Debra Davis, physicians and staff of Tuscaloosa Lung and Sleep Consultants, physicians and staff of the DCH Cancer Treatment Center, nurses and staff of DCH 2nd Floor Oncology Unit, Foster and Associates, and family, friends, and neighbors.
