Betty Jane Sanders

TUSCALOOSA | Betty Jane Sanders, age 64, of Tuscaloosa, died May 10, 2014. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Fuller officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Plowman; mother, Eunice McCarthy; brothers, William Plowman, Jr., Josh Plowman, and Tony Plowman; and son, Darrell Sanders.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Jimmy Sanders of Tuscaloosa; daughters, Vickie Samuel (Eric) of Tuscaloosa and Sonya Bozeman (Billy) of Mary Esther, Fla.; sister, Shelby Pearson (Mike) of Duncanville; brother, Steve Plowman (Cathy) of Northport; grandchildren, Larry Howard (Alexandra), Keyanna Bozeman and Marissa Samuel; great-granddaughter, Kynidee Howard; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty Jane was a loving wife, mother and “Maw Maw.”

Pallbearers will be Eric Samuel, Billy Bozeman, Michael Pearson, Tony Plowman, Keith Pike, Kent Pike, and Kevin Pike.

Honorary pallbearers are Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center, DCH ACCU nurses, Noland Hospital nurses, ABH Enterprises, and UA Capstone College of Nursing.
