NORTHPORT - Billy Don Sexton, age 83, went to be with His Lord Jesus on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at DCH Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Carrol Jones and Missionary Larry Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be Monday, August 14, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Leona Sexton.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Isabelle Sexton; son, Don Sexton (Brenda); daughter, Jeannette Minor (Jerry); grandchildren, Dr. Elaina Sexton and Ashley Maples (Patrick); great- grandchildren, Kristin Alverson and Jacob Maples and brother, Larry Sexton (Judy).
Pallbearers will be Patrick Maples, Frank Smelley, Terry Walby, Harold Hamilton, Jim Elmore, and John Edgeworth.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Robertson Chapel Baptist Church, Evelene Smelley, SADA Dulcimer Club, Dr. Chandra, Dr. Reynolds and staff, Medical ICU at DCH Regional Medical Center and Holt High School Graduating Class of 1952.
