

Brent Lewis Burns, age 34, of Romulus passed away November 12, 2013 at his home. Funeral Services will be held on, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Romulus Methodist Church, with Lynn Gibson directing. Family will receive friends, Saturday, from 9:30am until service time at the church. Brent Burns is survived by his devoted wife, Andrea Staffo Burns; daughter, Ava Irene Burns; his loving and supportive parents, Gerald and Judy Burns of Romulus; mother and father in law, Donald and Marilyn Staffo; brothers, Terry (Pam) Burns, and Tim (Ashley) Burns both of Tuscaloosa; sisters, Traci Hedrick of Romulus, Tanya Shuttlesworth (Anthony) of Northport, and Denise Lancaster of Enterprise; and sister-in-law Deanna Staffo (Jesse) of Baltimore Md. He is also survived by 7 nieces and 7 nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in communications, Brent was an avid lover of music and film, and could vigorously compete with anyone on trivia in the aforementioned categories. Brent will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother and uncle. It is impossible for a person’s demeanor and character to be captured in a short obituary, but the smile in the photo above best personifies Brent Burns. How that smile will be missed by all who loved him. Pallbearers will be, Sid Busby, Rob Lane, Paul Lane, Brian Brock, Drew Sewell, Brandon Clark, Corbin Burns, Callan Burns and Adam Pate. Honorary pallbearers are friends and family of the Romulus and Ralph communities, and Brewer Porch employees.
