Carl is survived by his wife Paula D. Newsome, sons Christopher J. Newsome (Susan) and Carl G. Newsome III of Northport, AL, daughters Tiffany Anne Martin and Autumn Lynn Newsome of Oklahoma City, Ok., seven Grandchildren and other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carl G. Newsome Sr. and Dorothy Pickels Newsome, sister Bettye Kathleen Newsome.
He was a devoted husband and loving father to his children.Carl was a long time employee of Eckerd Drugs in Mobile, AL and Harco Drugs in Northport, AL. In his lifetime Carl wore many hats. He sold popcorn as a child, was a radio DJ, a ring announcer for wrestling and a reserved Police Officer in Mobile.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Celebration of life service will be at a later date
