Cecil enjoyed spending time with his family and loved fishing with his brothers at Lake Lowndes, Mississippi and was a proud member of Arbor Springs Methodist Church. Cecil drove a truck for many years at Brownwood Preserving company before going to work for Sullivan Lumber Company before retiring at age 70.
Mr. Gann is preceded in death by his wives, Mildred Spurgeon Gann, Marylin South Gann and Mary Bennett Gann; parents, H.O. and Eunice Garrison Gann; daughter, Teresa Ann Gann and several siblings.
Survivors include his sons, Donald Gann, Roy Gann (Angie), James Gann (Melanie), David Gann and Jerome Gann (Sarah); daughters, Peggy Gann Gilbert, Betty Gann Falls, and Faye Henley (Lee);
step daughters; Diane Lewis (Jeff) and Jan Wencil (Doug); 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and
1 great great grandson all of whom he loved dearly; siblings, Ruby Doris Festus, Charles Gann (Linda) and
Ann Holcomb (Steve).
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Sunset Funeral Home with visitation being held 1 hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Fayette, Al. Elder Payne officiating services.
Serving as pallbearers are Taylor Hannah, Justin Thomas, William Gann, Johnny Falls, Tyler Gann, Damon Gann, Jeremy Gann and TJ Gann.
A reception will be held following the burial at 11574 Westwood School Road, Coker, Al 35452
Sunset Brown-Service Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, in charge of arrangements.
