Rev. Charles R. Bullock, of West Greene, AL passed away unexpectedly at DCH Medical Center on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the age of age 69. Charles was born in Chillicothe, Ohio September 12, 1950, to Evelyn Whaley Bullock and Charles Bullock.
Charles left this walk of life into the arms of his loving Savior surrounded by his wife Jan, of 50 years, and his two precious daughters, Stacia and Cynthia beside him.
He was the pastor of Clinton Baptist Church for 22 years where he founded the Lighthouse Christian School. He was a dairy farmer and served in the United States Air Force.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Charles and mother Evelyn Whaley Bullock and his sister Victoria Coonrod Hill.
Charles is survived by his wife, Janet McCorkle Bullock; daughters, Stacia Wilson (William) & Cynthia Myers (Bill) all of West Greene, AL; sister, Pamela Prater of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren, Alexis Bullock of Atlanta, GA, Nicholas Wilson and Lindzy Wilson, both of Tuscaloosa, AL, Gabriel Myers, Madelyne Myers and Isaiah Wilson, all of West Greene, Al, Daniel Myers and Grace Dowdy of Virginia, Jacob Thomas and Amanda Salter, Pensacola, Fl.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Road, Northport, AL 35473. A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lighthouse Christian School in Clinton, Alabama. Rev. Kevin Stewart officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are William Wilson, Bill Myers, Nicholas Wilson, Gabriel Myers, Daniel Myers and Luke Moore. Honorary Pallbearers are Gerald McCorkle, Jerry McCorkle, and Darold Grubb of Chillicothe, Ohio.
