It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved team member, Corwin Sledge, who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 53.
Corwin was not only a valued member of our team but also a person whose presence, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of those around him.
Working in funeral service means dedicating ourselves to caring for others during some of life’s most difficult moments. Corwin was a part of that mission, and his contributions to our funeral home and the families we serve reflected such.
As we grieve this tremendous loss, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, loved ones, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We are grateful for the time we shared with him, and his memory will forever remain a part of our funeral home family.

A visitation for Corwin will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A celebration of Corwin's life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Weeping Mary Baptist Church with visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Cedar Oak Memorial Park following the repast.
