Cynthia Simmons Towe

Cynthia M. Towe, age 59, of Northport, died June 10, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 12 noon Monday, June 13, 2011, at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Flummer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Powell; and brother, Ricky Allen Simmons.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Towe; daughters, Fran Gann (Jeff) and Bridgette Sellers (Robert); sons, Charlie Price (Debbie) and Eddie Price; sisters, Pam Tawbush (Stanley), Kris Gray (Jim), and Penny Biles (John); sister-in-law, Jeanine Simmons; brothers, Joe Simmons (Deborah), Gary Simmons (Sara), Freddie Simmons, and Calvin Mashburn; father, J.W. Simmons; and grandchildren, Blaine Nichols, Blake Nichols, Cody Price, and Kaley Sellers.

Pallbearers will be Blaine Nichols, Cody Price, Mitchell Simmons, Blake Nichols, John Maddox, and Dwayne Lee.

Honorary pallbearers are employees of Bama Bar-B-Que, Lester and Faye Wallace, Terry and Gloria Flummer, Jerry and Sandra Burroughs, and nurses and staff of 2nd Floor Oncology Department.
