Daniel Zdunowski

Daniel lived a life full of color, hard work, and deep love for his family. Born in San Diego California to Edward and Leonora Zdunowski on September 25, 1977. Daniel spent his childhood exploring the outdoors and riding his bike all over town. He later served in the United States Army before starting a long, proud career as an industrial maintenance mechanic. Daniel married Maria Consuelo Munoz on June 6, 2001.

Daniel loved the outdoors and being on the water kayaking and camping any chance he got. Lying on the beach with his friends and family or floating in the waves were a close second favorite. His love language was acts of service and was always willing to help anyone in need. Daniel never met a stranger he didn’t befriend and could talk to anyone about any topic; he collected random facts about any topic that crossed his mind.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 25 years, Maria; his children, Gabriella Munoz (Selyn Magana), Nathaniel Zdunowski (Edward Hernandez), and Dominick Zdunowski; his parents Edward and Leonora Zdunowski and siblings Sharon Zdunowski and Barbara (Arlis Lee) Granberry. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Daniel and Inez Aversa and Theodore and Margaret Zdunowski.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home (3802 Watermelon Rd, Northport, AL 35473). Visitation begins at 10:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00am.

The family invites everyone to join a fellowship immediately after the service.
