Danny Marion Snider

He was born to the late Harvey D. Snider and Mary M. Snider. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara J. Allen.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Janice Snider; his two daughters, Rachel Blum (Michael) and Hayley Dees (Chad); furbaby, Dusty, and his stepdaughter, Rhonda Calabrese (Joey). He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Caden, Reed, Addy, Wyatt, and Caleb, who brought him much joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Welch (Larry) and Margaret Massey (Roger), and brother, Dewayne Snider (Diane).

Danny graduated from Holt High School in 1972 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy on Sept 4, 1972, where he served proudly until April 4, 1978. In 1982, he received a certificate of training as a nurse's aide. Danny's work ethic was continued as an electrician at Phifer Wire for 35 years.

A visitation for Danny will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM with Pastor Richard Luker officiating. Burial will take place at Pate Cemetery, Buhl, AL.

Pallbearers will be Joey, Kenny, Tristan, Chad, Travis, and Chris. Honorary pallbearers include Jayden Carr, Jeremy Junkin, Curewell Medical Center, and Butcher.

Danny’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His family is grateful for the love and support they have received during this time of loss.
