David R Jackson

David Ray Jackson passed away September 3, 2022 at his home in Moundville, AL. He was born on November 22, 1948 in Northport, AL and was the son of Cecil and Elizabeth Jackson. David graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School and served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Sergeant. David is proceeded in death by his parents: Cecil and Elizabeth Jackson, brother: Rodney Jackson, and sister: Anita Boyette. He is survived by his children: Kimberly Gray (Eric) Simmons, Chastity Jackson (Jason) Sartain, David Chad Jackson, and Holly (Dusty) Robertson, brothers: Larry Jackson, and Donny Jackson, sisters: Debbie Smith, and Sharon Morrison, grandchildren: Cody Gray, Cameron Gray, Chason Jackson, Preston (Savannah) Jackson, and McKayla Jackson. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Cody Gray, Cameron Gray, Chason Jackson, Preston Jackson, Sean Kemp, and Wesley Jackson. Honorable Pallbearers are Thomas Pate, Thomas Franklin, Dee Tunnell, Doyle Sanford and Kevin Strawbridge. The visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 at 12:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service with also be on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 at 1:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Costner Officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park.
