Dona Norris Evans

Dona Norris Evans, age 67, of Samantha, died Jan, 11, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center, Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Nazareth Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Oswalt officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. The family will receive friends today from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. following the service at the church. The family requests casual dress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Edna Howell Norris; and her niece, Kathy Jo Tidwell.

Survivors include her husband, Terry David Evans; her daughter, Lisa Dawn Fair Carruth (Jay); granddaughters, Jaymee Leanne and Christiana Grace Carruth of Enterprise, Miss.; daughter of the heart, Cindy Hamilton of Samantha; sister, Bonnie N. Tidwell; sister of the heart, Brenda Tilley; aunt, Mable N. Elliott; and a host of other relatives.

Dona enriched all the lives of all who knew her. In spite of a debilitating illness, she did not complain. We will miss her so much, but we know her pain is over; our loss is Heaven’s gain.

Pallbearers will be Gordon, Tony, and Justin Evans; Wiley, Justin, and Corey Hamilton; and Pat Ponds.
