Donald Eugene Lancaster, 77, of Tuscaloosa, born August 15, 1937, died October 10, 2013. Donald was a native of Pickens County and attended Tuscaloosa County High School. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Upon returning to Tuscaloosa, he married Rosalyn Ann Nabors and remained living in Tuscaloosa. He was employed by Gulf State Paper Company until closure then owned and operated Lancaster Electric. After retiring, he was employed by Doug Hollyhand Reality until his final retirement. As a friend to many, with a strong love of family, he is survived by his wife, Rosalyn Lancaster of Tuscaloosa, AL, daughters, LaDonna Sanford of Fayette, AL; Debbie (Ricky) Dunkling of Northport, AL. Son, Michael (Rainey) Lancaster of Rome, GA. Sister, Sybil Corder of Northport, AL, brothers, Ricky (Linda) Lancaster of Northport, AL, Jerry (Deanne) Lancaster of Tuscaloosa, AL and Reggie (Debbie) Lancaster of Fosters, AL. Grandchildren, Sarah (Don) Marini, Adam (Crystal) Traweek, Caleb (Miranda) Traweek, Josh (Jennifer) Dunkling, Elizabeth (Barnes) Heath, Hannah (Tyler) Pierce, Luke Sanford, Leah Sanford, Rebekah Sanford and Connor Lancaster, great-grandchildren, Jordan Marini, Kennedy Marini, Caleigh & Lillie Traweek, Jacob & Jared Dunkling and Shelby Traweek. Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 at Sunset Funeral Home. Celebration of Mr. Lancaster’s life will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Dr. McKee officiating. Pallbearers will be Don Marini, Adam Traweek, Caleb Traweek, Josh Dunkling, Barnes Heath, Tyler Pierce, Luke Sanford and Connor Lancaster. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Bill O’Bryant, Dr. Hayes Boyd, Jerry Simpson, Rob Colburn and the Employees at Doug Hollyhand Reality and The Good Samaritan Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa.

Even though Donald was older than me, I remember him fondly. My prayers are with you and all your family in your tragic loss but Heavens gain. (Donald sure looked like Mr. Dill). With heart felt condolences.

So sorry to hear of cousin Donald's passing but thankful we were able to visit with you last year. I cherish all of the summers we spent our vacations there with Donald and all of you. May God give you the grace and peace to get through this time. We will be praying for all of you! Much love!

So Sorry to hear of Donald passing. I worked with Donald and his Dad at Gulf States Paper. Donald was good friend, enjoyed working with him.
