Donald Thomas Wright

Don was predeceased by his Mother, Olna P Wright and Father Tillman J (TJ) Wright, Butler Al.

Uncles Howard ( Margaret) Pope, TJ (Nelda) Pope, and Lenord Pope, Dixon Mills, Al.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Cleckler Wright, his son Thomas J (TJ) Wright and lifelong friend Christian Thompson.

Don moved to Virginia after college and worked in financial planning. He returned to Alabama and spent many years as a licensed counselor with state mental health services. He developed a blame survey used in Sunday school classes and marriage counseling.

He never stopped seeking education on any topic that interested him including theology, religion, real estate and psychology.

Don was a friend to people from all walks of life. He was very motivated and driven. He faced many challenges throughout his life, but never let them stand in his way.

He was a member of the Tuscaloosa Civitan Club and the Tuscaloosa Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the Tuscaloosa Ballroom Dance Club and he and Karen enjoyed participating in their activities.

Don questioned everything except his devotion to Christ.

A memorial service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Rd, Northport, Al on Monday, January 11th at 11am.
