Doris Evans Norman

FRANKLIN, Tenn. | Doris Evans Norman, age 88, of Franklin, Tennessee, formerly of Coker, Ala., died August 10, 2014, at Williamson Medical Center, in Franklin, Tenn. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Big Creek Cemetery with Tim Long officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jack Dale Norman, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail Norman Henderson (Thomas Edward Henderson); sisters, Francene Mills and Shelia Hendrix; brothers, Millard Evans and Frank Evans (Missy Evans); daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Norman; and grandchildren, Melissa Arnold, Thomas Henderson and Brandon Norman.

Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid gardener, great cook, and always willing to express her opinion when needed. She will be sorely missed by all.

Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Coker Garden Club.
