Douglas Allen Brown, beloved husband, father and pap of Northport, Alabama passed away at age 44 on April 23, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Ocala, Florida on June 23, 1976.

Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents; Mary Fauseteena Watkins and Marion Russell, Adele and Ervin Brown. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Brown; children, Cody, Riley (Jared), Caleb and Raelyn Brown; granddaughter, Maddie Brown; parents; Linda and Gary Foster, Leroy Brown; siblings, Sarah Boothe (Steven), Matt Brown (Jessica).

Doug and Marilyn have been married for 27 years. He was very family oriented and loved cooking/grilling, or taking his family out on the boat. When he wasn’t spending time with family, he was fishing or hunting. Doug was a devoted employee at Premier Service Company for over 24 years. He was someone that you could call to help with anything and he would be there without hesitation. Doug will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him.

Pallbearers are Grady Deloach, Daryl McKinney, Brandon Hollingsworth, Larry Wayne Perry, Chris Ralston, Bill Rice, Gary Phillips and Stephen Wood.

Honorary pallbearers are Premier Service Companies Utility Department.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 5th from 11:30-1:00 at Sunset Funeral Home on Watermelon Rd. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Steven Stamps officiating. Burial will follow at Phillips Chapel Cemetery on Mormon Rd.

Doug was an amazing friend from the time I started working at Premier. He guided me on many projects in which I will never forget. He gave me the advice and wisdom that I needed through out. I will always be forever in his debt. He will truly be missed not only by me, but many others.
