

Mack is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Eula Olive; brothers Oliver Olive, James Olive, Paul Olive; sisters Louise Brueggeman, Katie Kelley, Catherine Skelton, Ann Moore and daughter in law Norma Olive.
Mack is survived by his wife of 59 years Martha Hewitt Olive; son Bryan Olive; daughter Tonya Hickman; son in law Clay Hickman, grandchildren Emma Kate Richardson (Luke), Grant Hickman, Ashley Stigall (Jacob); great-grandchildren Nick Stigall, Ben Stigall, Becca Stigall, Allison Stigall, soon to be born Olive Grace Richardson; sisters Barbara Hudson, Nan Davis; 9 brother and sister in laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a servant's heart and gave generously. Mack was a hard worker and took great pride in taking care of those he loved. He served in the National Guard for eight years and retired from the Tuscaloosa Fire Department after 25 years of service. Mack was a devoted member of Five Points Baptist church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School for many years. He loved his class members dearly and often referred to them as “my boys”. Mack loved Jesus and never missed an opportunity to share his faith with others.
Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport, Alabama on May 12, 2025, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
