

NORTHPORT - Earl Richard Frostick, age 80, of Northport, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He was born on February 11, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m., with services immediately following with Father Tom Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Sunset Memorial Park.
After high school, Earl went into the United States Air Force. He served his country during the Korean War. When he was honorably discharged, he came to Tuscaloosa. He met Eunice, his wife of 55 years. He worked at the Veterans Administration for 35 years. He continued to work with his Tax Services through 2017. He enjoyed puttering with his plants, feeding birds and squirrels, and crossword puzzles. He loved following the sports career of his great-grandson, Ben.
Earl was regarded by many as a compassionate, caring, and loving. He was a great support for his daughter, step-children and grandchild. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Lisa Frostick (Mark); his brother, Harry Frostick (Diane); his sister-in-law, Martha Frostick; his step children Mary Dunn (Junior), Bill Lee (Jan), Faye Lee Moseley, Nancy Newsom and Mike Lee (Judy); his caring granddaughter, Angie Capps (Mark) and Ben Capps; his great-grandson, his grandsons Ricky, Tim, Terry, Teddy, Derril; his granddaughters Pam, Anita, Kristen, Kelsey, Shannon, Kim, Christie, Carla and Tina; nieces and nephews; and special daughter, Teresa Crump.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife Eunice; his mother; Hazel Driscoll; his father, Harry Frostick; his brothers, Jimmy Frostick, Tommy Driscoll and Jerry Driscoll; and his step-son, Robert E. Lee.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wendt, Jamey Mims, Justin Mitchell, Evan Mitchell, Ben Capps and Larry Turner.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest that contributions in Earl's memory to Hospice of West Alabama or St. Francis of Assisi University Parrish.
