Ella Christine Ramsey

She was born in Tuscaloosa County and lived in several different places during her husband’s Naval career—Alaska, California, Rhode Island, Newfoundland, and Mississippi. She is a member of Bordeaux Primitive Baptist Church in Nashville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Ramsey; brothers, Lee Utley, Theron Utley, and Howard Utley; and sisters, Agnes Hocutt and Viva Dean Poe.

She is survived by her son, Donald Ramsey (Marj Feese) of Richardson, Texas; daughter, Geraldine Bledsoe (Larry) of Huntsville; grandsons, Keith Bledsoe (Patricia Collados) of Winchester, Tenn., and Zachary Ramsey (Diane) of Midlothian, Texas; granddaughters, Lynette Bledsoe Boyer (Andy) of Knoxville, Tenn., Sarah Ramsey Ward of Atlanta, Ga.; four great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport, Ala. with Elder James Howard officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

The family would like to especially thank the CNAs, nurses, and staff of Regency Health Care and Rehab in Huntsville and to Asera Care Hospice of Decatur.
