

Estelle N. Collins, age 89, of Northport, died June 25, 2013, at Hunter Creek Health & Rehab. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home with Jerry Montgomery and Reggie Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel L. Collins, her parents, Basil W. Norris and Trannie S. Norris; her sisters, Margurite Smith, Ommie Lee Mitchell, and Faye Olive; her brothers, Buddy Norris, Junior Norris, Rayford Norris, and Zach Norris, Billy Norris; and her granddaughter, Samantha Kaye Collins.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Hughes (Reggie); sons, Sam Collins Jr. (Sandra), Tommy Collins (Margie), Mike Collins (Deborah), and Bob Collins (Cindy); sisters, Christine Estes and Carolyn Taylor; grandchildren, Towana Smith, Randy Collins, Andy Collins, Shane Collins, Wesley Collins, Noah Collins, Shelley Lindsey, Yancy Collins, Joseph Collins, Tina Bonnet, Chris Collins, Carolina Hummel, Jordan Collins, and Jessie Hughes; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. “Sis” will be missed by all.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are the precious staff of Hunter Creek Health & Rehabilitation, Dr. Mark Woods, and all residents, Tuscaloosa County Rd. Dept., Northport Fire & Rescue, Village Barber Shop, Nucor Steel, Wiley Fire Dept., and Mrs. Emma Dee Crowder, Dot and Ed Turnell, all Collins and Norris family members, and Grace Baptist Church.
