

Felicia Fields Evans Porter passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 6, 2025 at the age of 93. A lifelong Alabamian, Felicia was born on January 22, 1932, during the Great Depression. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport, AL and visitation will be from 9:30 Am to 11:00 Am. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and community. Felicia was a devoted mother, wife, and career educator. Felicia was an active member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church, where she taught both children and adults. She was also a passionate gardener and skilled seamstress.
Felicia was preceded in death by her parents, Alberta Dunn Fields and John Wiley Fields; her first husband, James Thomas Evans; daughter, Karen Evans Vandiver; sons, Alan Lewis Porter and Toby Ray Porter; brothers, Verson Fields and Ralph Fields; and sisters, Vivian Fields Banks and Patricia Fields Clark.
She is survived by her husband, William F. Porter; daughters Cheryl Evans Hall (Craye), Saonda Hill, and Tammy Talley; daughters-in-law Susan Porter and Sherlyn Porter; grandchildren Carrie Elizabeth Hall (Nick Luciano), Evans Hall (Amie), Sydney Hall Harper (Nathan), James Thomas Hall, Andrew Taylor Hall (Christina), Brandi Thompson (Don), Zachery Hill (Nikki), Micah Hill (Valery), Jake Porter (Diana), Jeremy Porter (Rebecca), Tiffany Porter Kelley (Jeremy), Cody Porter (Amanda), Melissa Talley, and Malorie Talley Gray (Patrick); and 21 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Gatha Fields Dockery (Lawrence), Nedra Fields White, and Henrietta “Penny” Fields Sexton; sister-in-law Margie Fields; and many beloved nieces and nephews
