Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Northport, AL, with Bro. Dan Williams and Bro. Glenn Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. before services. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Ferrell was preceded in death by his parents, Ferrell S. Reynolds Sr. and Euylene Reynolds; his daughter, Tammy Reynolds; and multiple siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Reynolds; son, Chris Reynolds (Nichole); daughter, Farrah Cook (Lawson); sister, Phyllis Jones; grandchildren, Colby Reynolds, Landon Reynolds, and Paisley Cook; and a host of nieces and nephews.
At 75 years old, Ferrell was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, baseball coach, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and countless memories.
He loved his family above all else. He was his son and daughter’s biggest fan, always supporting and encouraging them in everything they did. He coached his son in baseball and became a father figure and mentor to many young men he coached, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.
He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was a founding member of the Moore’s Bridge Hunting Club, where he treasured the friendships, fellowship, stories, and camaraderie shared with the guys.
A tragic hunting accident left him disabled and changed the course of his life. For the past eight years, his devoted wife cared for him with unwavering love, patience, and dedication. Their love and commitment to one another were a beautiful testament to their life together.
Ferrell’s greatest joy was his grandchildren, Colby, Landon, and Paisley. He lived for them and cherished every moment he was able to spend with them.
He also found great comfort in music, which brought him peace and solace. He loved watching Alabama sports and enjoyed cheering on the Crimson Tide, whether it was football, basketball, or softball. These simple pleasures brought him joy and gave him many cherished moments with his family.
He will be remembered for his deep love of family, his loyalty to friends, his passion for the outdoors, and the many lives he touched. Though he is gone, his love and the memories he created will live on in all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Landon Reynolds, Colby Reynolds, Shaun Lee, Joel Logan, David Lancaster, and Stan Williams.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Brian Wilhite; Sue and Dale Lee; Hospice of West Alabama; faithful sitters, Kimberly Monroe and Ginger Ward; and the communities of Moore’s Bridge and Brownville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Hebron Cemetery Fund or Hospice of West Alabama.
