

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fox Henderson Harmon and Elizabeth Sweeney.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jackie Harmon. He also is survived by stepsons Ken Cherry and Michael Cherry, and numerous cousins.
Fox graduated high school from Robert E. Lee High School in 1955. He went on to graduate from The Citadel in 1960 with a degree in Business Administration. During his career he worked with EBSCO Co, Alabama Gas Corporation, and as a Senior Real Estate Specialist with Alabama Power Company. After his retirement, he enjoyed working in the Fishing Department at Woods and Water. He was a member of the Tuscaloosa Chamber of Commerce, Exchange Club, Kiwanis Club, Tuscaloosa Quarterback Club, and Red Elephant Club. He was a long-time member of Saint Mark Northport and a beloved member of the Genesis Sunday School Class. Fox had a passion for Alabama football, fishing, and American history.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Bo Lloyd officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Louis Langley, John Cain, Larry Miller, Patrick Gray, Windell Davis, and Clark Summerford. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob and Peggy Hoffman, Gregg and Emily Utley, Bill and Linda Pierce, Robert and Nancy Humphreys, Kathie Cooper, Virginia Caine, Larry and Sandy White, and Roy and Sheilah Thrash.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Mark Northport or Hospice of West Alabama.
