Georgia Anne Bonner

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis Bonner; parents, William and Mary Tingle; daughter, Christina Murphy; siblings, Rubye Cook, Betty Burroughs, Billy Tingle and daughter-in-law, Carol Murphy.

She is survived by her children, Stacie Morris (Clarence), Andrew Murphy and Lavania Murphy; siblings, Myrtis Burroughs, Dorothy Beckham, Joyce Wood and Dale Tingle; grandchildren, Brandie Odum (Matthew), Mary Rowe (Terry), Andrew Murphy Jr. (Crystal) and Mark Murphy (Suzanne); great-grandchildren, Drew McClellan (Lauren), Breanna Rowe, Mary Morgan Odum, and Cooper Murphy and great-great-grandchildren: Easton, Hudson, Amelia and Madilyn McClellan.

She loved her family and friends dearly. She was quick witted, always having a joke to share. She truly had the gift of laughter. She was the best storyteller. She was never at a loss for words. She loved to make others smile even from childhood. If you asked her how she felt, her reply was always “I’m happy of course.” Now, she is forever happy in Heaven.

We would like to sincerely thank Moundville Health and Rehab, Hospice of West Alabama, Moundville EMT’s, and DCH Phlebotomy who all cared for our mother. Special thanks to Tim and Anne Smith for years of kindness.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Sunday, July 5th, 2026, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Graveside service will be on Monday July 6th, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Moundville, Alabama.
