J. Frederick Trick Jr.

Fred was born on January 28th, 1948, in Huntington, IN to Fred and Izetta Trick. He grew up in North Manchester, IN and attended the University of Alabama. Throughout his life, Fred was known for his zest for life and diverse range of interests. He was a no-limits individual, a leader of leaders, one who had the ability to bring out the best in others.

He was a home builder and enjoyed his work, but his greatest satisfaction came from partnering with God to build people in Faith. He was a founding member of the board of One Mission of Tuscaloosa County (formerly known as Love Inc.) and an elder at Daystar Family Church.

Fred enjoyed scuba diving, snow skiing, collecting folk art, fishing and photography. He was a family man, enjoying every opportunity to be together.

Fred is survived by his wife, Dorinda; daughter, Tricia; grandchildren, Mason, Kenzy, Brody, Kael, and brothers, Bill (Sherri) and Kyle (Angie). He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Izetta and daughter, Kacy.

A Celebration of Life for Fred will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Daystar Family Church with a reception following the service.
