Born in Cottondale, Alabama, and most recently a resident of McCullough, Alabama, Jack lived a life full of purpose, adventure, and service to others. He was the kind of person who never met a stranger and could brighten any room with his smile, his stories, and his positive outlook on life.
Jack was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Jane Ryan Nicholson. Together they built a family that was the center of his world. He is survived by his children, Phil Nicholson and Marianne Nicholson Elliott, as well as several beloved grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.
For more than 30 years, Jack enjoyed a successful career as a Sales Manager with Liberty National. While he was dedicated to his work, he was even more dedicated to living life to the fullest. He loved riding bicycles, running marathons, and staying active throughout his life. He was always ready for a challenge and inspired others with his determination and energy.
One of Jack’s greatest qualities was his heart for helping people. Whether responding to disaster relief efforts or simply helping a neighbor in need, he gave generously of his time and talents. His compassion, kindness, and willingness to serve left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Those who knew Jack will remember his sense of humor, his optimism, and his ability to find joy in every situation. He had a remarkable gift for encouraging others and making people feel welcome, valued, and loved. His faith, strength, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people were evident in the way he lived every day.
Though our hearts are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in the many memories he leaves behind and in the example of a life well lived. His legacy of love, perseverance, generosity, and joy will continue through his family and all who were blessed to know him.
