He was survived by daughters Sharon Yates (Michael) from Nashville, TN & Sandy Bell (Doug) of Gulf Shores, AL; grandchildren Christopher Lewis, Kristen Hollingsworth, Meaghan Hill, Lauren Grimes, & Hannah Bell and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Jane; son, Paul; parents, Dan and Cora Lewis; sister Jean Berryhill.
James retired from Alabama Power Co after working 43 years throughout the state of Alabama.
The family attended Northport Church of Christ while living in Northport for 54 years. His favorite pastime was to be with his family and he loved to fish.
