James Cecil Martin, age 68, of Northport, died Oct. 9, 2012, at home. Services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. John Pritchett and Rev. Howard Sanford officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank G. Martin and Celia H. Martin, and his brother, Francis Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Martin of Northport; one daughter, Kelly Ryland (David); four sons, Toby (Terri), Chris, Greg, and James Martin; his loving dog, Teeney; his sisters, Jean Norton, Carol Carpenter, and Celia Mae Hicks (Kervin); his brother, Dr. Royce Martin; his grandchildren, Amber and Jason Thompson, Cori, Brandon, Wesley, and Christian Martin, and Harley Ryland; and his great-grandchildren, Haven and Daxon Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers are the angels of Alacare and members of Grace Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Grace Baptist Church, 12143 Lary Lake Rd., Northport, AL 35475.
