J.C. Pruitt Sr., age 79, of Northport, died Nov. 12, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Lanier officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Letty Pruitt; his son, James C. Pruitt Jr. (Sharon); his grandchildren, Heather Abernathy, Scott Abernathy, Johnathan Pruitt, and Lacy Pruitt; and his great-grandchildren, Austin, Anthony, and Ayden Abernathy, and Ryder and Noah Pruitt.
Pallbearers will be Austin Abernathy, Daryle Jacobs, Johnny Ray McDaniel, Byron Jacobs, Mike Scott, John Pearson, Jerry Hoggle, Gary Crook, Tony McDaniel, and Scott Abernathy.
Honorary pallbearers are all of his friends from P&P Produce and his doctors.
