Jeanette Harris Waldrop Simpler

Jeanette Harris Waldrop Simpler, age 80, of Northport, died Oct. 13, 2012, at home. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Gertrude Harris; her brother, Billy Harris; and an infant son, Joseph Michael Waldrop.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Kaye Waldrop and Peggy Waldrop Suddath (Doug); her daughter-in-law, Hallie Waldrop; her sisters, Linda Lee (Charlie) and Katie Brown Hadden (Ron); her brothers, Johnny Harris (Ruth), Pete Harris (Kathy), and Lindsey Harris (Debbie); her grandchildren, Michael Waldrop (Wendy), Shannyn Setter (Lesley), Cassie Leary, and Michelle Wooten (Rick); her great-grandchildren, Christopher and Claudia Waldrop, Jordan, Bryan, and Matthew Swenson, Alanna and John Leary, and Kenneth, Ashley, and Adam Mathews; and her great-great-grandchild, Oslyn Swenson.

Jeanette was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. She spent most of her life working in the mental health field. She loved camping and fishing and dearly loved her family.
