Jerry Wayne King, age 60, of Samantha, died Jan. 17, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Double Portion Church with Rev. Hayes Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulys and Estelle King.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Crossno King; his step-daughters, Barbara Johnson and Tammy Barnett (Jackie); step-son, Lee Vines (Sandy); sisters, Eloise King Savey and Mary Ann King Mayfield; his brother, Wiley D. King (Edith); and step-grandchildren, Caleb Harris, Jessica Clark, and Brandon, Cody, and Kayla Barnett.
Pallbearers will be Harry Penn, Benny King, Michael Mayfield, Lee Vines, Jackie Barnett, and Raymond Crossno.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
