Jessie Mae Tilley

Jessie Mae Tilley was born on September 21, 1926, in Elrod, Al. From a young age, she was known for her caring nature and strong work ethic, qualities that would guide her throughout her life.

She worked for South Central Bell for 38 years until her retirement in 1982. After retirement, she served as a volunteer for both the VA and DCH for many years. She served Corinth Baptist Church faithfully serving as church secretary, choir member, cooking countless meals and visiting sick and shut ins and has been involved almost every area of service. Although she never had children, she actively helped raise several nieces and nephews. She devoted her life to her family and unselfishly aided and encouraged so many, was a true example of a Godly woman. As we celebrate her life we reflect on the love, wisdom, and countless memories she shared with us and to a life well lived.

Services will be on Monday, September 21,2026 at 11:00 with visitation one hour prior at Corinth Baptist Church in Elrod. Bro. Donald Springer and Bro. Dennis Avery officiating.

Pallbearers are Daryll Beck, Andy Champion, Billy Tilley, Chuck Tilley, Jay Tilley, and Eddie Appleby.

Honorary pallbearers are Dave and Janice Darden, Dave and Bonnie Thacker, Charlie and Wyman Beck, Blenda Swindle, Jean Skelton, Glenda Wells, Hospice of West Alabama special nurses Emma and Latoria, members of Corinth Baptist Church and Victorius Life Church.
