Joe B. "Jodie" Willingham Jr.

NORTHPORT | Joe Buck Willingham, Jr. (Jodie), age 67, of Northport, died August 27, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Croft officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with the funeral home directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe B. Willingham Sr. and Lena Marcum (Dempsey); grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Banks and Mr. and Mrs. James Willingham; and father-in-law, John Lewis Herring. Survivors include his wife Loretta Herring Willingham; daughter, Dianna Thomas (Steve) of McDonough, Ga.; sons, Joe Buck Willingham III (Dana) of Northport, Ala., Rev. Bo Leigh Smith (Laura) of Gulf Shores, Ala., John Steven Willingham (Justa); special sisters, Velma McGraw and Sandra Bunn both of Tuscaloosa; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Judah of Ozark; and 10 grandchildren. Mr. Willingham was a retired police officer. Honorary pallbearers are staff of Hospice of West Alabama, Class of 1966 TCHS, Reunion Planning Committee Class of 1966 TCHS, past and present TPD officers, past and present Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies, Northport Fire and Rescue, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby McFerrin, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Perrigan, Mr. and Mrs. Don Odom; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Storm, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Willingham, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Swindle, Mr. Adam Bambarger, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Willingham, Mr. and Mrs. JH Brewer, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jack Brewer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brewer, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leonard, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Powel Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Oden, Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Herring, Ms. Brenda Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Homan, Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Brewer, and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Johnson.
