Joseph Spencer Brunette, age 48, of Lindenhurst, Ill., died Nov. 17, 2010, at Midwest Palliative and Hospice Center In Skokie, Ill. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Williamson Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
Joe was the loving father of Grace and Anna Brunette and stepfather of James Gieselmann; fond uncle of three; dear brother of Mary Brunette of Northport, Ala., Peter (Olivia) Brunette of St. Simon's Island, Ga., and Sara (Mike) Mahoney of Crystal Lake.
He was born on July 9, 1962, at Andrews Air Force Base to Sara M. Brunette (nee Spencer) and the late Peter J. Brunette. Joe was employed for the past 27 years at Rust-Oleum Corp. as a Sr. Formulator in the R&D Department, where he earned admission to the prestigious Royal Scot Society. He served for the past 3 years on the Environmental Commission for the Village of Lindenhurst. A self-taught pianist and composer of many beloved family songs, Joe was a lifelong music lover.
