Psalm 23 The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me; Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Spent close to twenty years with Brian. Never had to worry about whether someone had your back when he was there. I remember him sitting on our couch after coming home from class at the academy when he was running in the ‘Lunch Bunch’ group who ran five miles three times a week instead of eating lunch. One of the only guys I knew with the stamina for that. Godspeed Brother.

My heart hurts so much with the loss of Brian. Brian was always Brian and never was a man of many words! When we were kids we were always glad to have someone to play with. The Christian Clan was big and everyone looked out for everyone! Willie and my dad did electrical work together for a long time and we kids always played together anytime possible. When we got older, Brian always knew where I lived and as a policeman he always made sure that my kids, myself and my home were safe. I ran into him so many times and he was never in too much of a hurry to give me a big hug and talk a little. I know when Brian stepped onto those streets of gold that Willie, Aunt Callieo and Uncle Will ( who was born on D day) were waiting on him. They led the pack but were followed by Myrtle, Paul, Uncle John, Gene (my granddaddy); Uncle Elmer, Aunt Alma, Aunt Doris, Aunt Edna, Aunt Charlotte, Aunt Peggy and I am sure there were many others. RIP my sweet cousin! Because of the Lord’s promise; we will see you again one day!

I had the honor and privilege to work with Sgt. Brian Christian , as I was an animal control officer. I would always smile when he answered or just showed up at one of my calls. His professionalism and experience he brought with him wasbjust the tip of the iceberg. This man was such a real blessing to his family both by blood and by choice. A asset to his community and a gift to the world. Thankyou for the example you led with and the one I try hard to follow to this day. Fairness, honesty, integrity and sense of humor. Rest well 67.
