Joshua was born April 27, 1979, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He dutifully served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrician. He was medically retired from the Navy in 2008. Shortly thereafter, he began working for the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Lock Operator. He served his country well and loved working on the water all throughout his career.
Josh was a wonderful husband. He was married to Hannah Holman for 18 years. Not only was he a wonderful husband, but he was also a devoted daddy to Brayden and Brenlie. Josh and Brayden shared a love of football, baseball, fishing, and the outdoors. Brenlie was a daddy’s girl, sharing a love of Star Wars, cartoons, and were finally able to visit Disney World together this year. Brenlie had him wrapped around her finger and could get just about anything she wanted from him.
Josh also had a passion for coaching baseball. He started coaching when Brayden was 4 years old and continued coaching throughout little league, All-stars, and finally travel ball. He was not only a coach but also a mentor, friend, and someone who truly believed in each and every one of the players he coached.
Josh was one of the good ones. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He was kindhearted and willing to do anything to help others. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
