Katie Marie Cannon

Katie Marie Cannon, age 90, of Tuscaloosa passed away to a better life August 6, 2020at Hospice of West Alabama. Celebration of Life Services will be held Wednesday, Aug.12, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Sunset Funeral Home with Chaplain, Rev. Michelle Hunter, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Boone cemetery.

Ms. Cannon was born February 4, 1930 to the late Rev. Ike Cannon and Alice T. Cannon. She is preceded

in death by her brothers, JC Cannon, Ted Cannon, David Cannon, Lacey Cannon and Robert Cannon.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Dennis Cannon; sisters, Martha Carol Simmons and Jean Cannon and many loving nieces and nephews

Ms. Cannon retired from the State of Michigan after 35 years as a court reporter. She loved her family,

her animals and life itself. She will be dearly missed.
